John-Marc Berthoud | Founder

John-Marc Berthoud founded Wealth House, LLC with a distinct purpose; “to work for the client, not for an investment firm”.  With deep roots as an educator, John-Marc works diligently to understand his client’s life/wealth/tax goals and then advises them on effective solutions that exist in the vast and often confusing world of investing, insurance and tax management. 

John-Marc advises a wide range of clients from high-net worth individuals to corporate and trustee directed plans.  “My game-plan is simple”, he says, “get to know the client; whether an individual, corporation, foundation/endowment, or union…discover what their goals are through in-depth discussions and then allow me and my team to do our research to bring the best possible solutions to the table”.   

John-Marc is a double-major graduate from Kenyon College in Gambier, Ohio and received his Master’s degree in “Linguistica Aplicada” (Applied Linguistics) from the Universidad de Las Americas-Puebla located in Cholula, Mexico. John-Marc has over 20 years experience in the financial services industry having worked for both Hewitt Associates and John Hancock prior to founding his own independent Registered Investment Advisory firm (RIA)Cornerstone Asset Management in October 2002.  He then combined three major disciplines:  Investments, Tax Management and Asset Protection all under one roof, the Wealth House.  John-Marc holds financial securities license series 65.  He is also a licensed insurance agent.
